Assemblymen Vince Polistina and Matthew Milam are to be commended for voting against the Paid Family Leave Act. These Assemblymen understand that New Jersey’s business climate continues to suffer. Although the bill passed, we thank Assemblymen Polistina and Milam for making a tough stand.
The bill passed because of Assemblymen like Albano and Amodeo. We thank them for nothing. Their vote supports another legislative act of misplaced compassion. These assemblymen would benefit from learning that compassion without justice is a vice, not a virtue. Their act will force more businesses to cut back their work force.
The next Assembly election is a long ways off, but we will remember this vote.
